The park grounds overlook beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee!
Lake Maxinkuckee is the second largest natural lake in Indiana.
There are four historic structures on the park property- the beach lodge, train depot, and two open-air pavilions. The Culver Park Department assists with park programming, boat slip rentals, facility rentals, and the Culver Farmers’ Market. You can find information on all of these below!

2022 Season Full & Waitlist

All of our pier spaces for the 2022 season are completely full and paid for. We are only accepting RESIDENTS (those who own property in Culver and Union Township) to our waitlist. Our waitlist runs over year to year. You do not need to be added to the waitlist annually for that reason.

Pier Slip Rental Dates

  • January 15: Early deadline – payment in full to receive a 5% discount
  • February 15: Returning customer deadline – payment deadline for returning customers to maintain slip space
  • Dates for when pier renters have access to their rented pier slips: May 10 – October 20 (163 days)

    • Does the park offer short-term pier slip rentals? No, agreements are seasonal.
    • Do I need a boat lift? Yes, renters must provide their own lift. The park department does not provide lifts or buy/sell lifts. This includes PWC’s.
    • Is there a waiting list? Yes, there is a waiting list for each season. Please go to the link above to be directed to the online waitlist form. We are only adding Culver and Union Township residents to our waitlist at this time.
    • How long is the waitlist? We have over 80 people on the waitlist currently and it can take up to years for a boat slip and about one year for a jet ski space. We ask that you do not call or email for constant updates for your spot on the waitlist.

Facility Rental Information

We do rentals for our outdoor amphitheater, gazebo, Beach Lodge conference room, East pavilion (one closest to the beach), and West pavilion (farmer’s market pavilion by train depot). Facility rentals are year-round and can be made as early as a year in advance. All facility rentals must be scheduled with a park department staff member. You can schedule a rental via email at or phone at 574-216-0682.

Facility Rental Key Notes

We are not doing any facility rentals until May 2023 due to construction projects!

  • Beach Season: Memorial Weekend through Mid-August
  • Facility rentals are only available from 10 am-7 pm
  • The West Pavilion is NOT available on Saturdays
  • 30 wristbands for beach admission come with a rental during beach hours

Beach Lodge Conference Room

Culver Farmers’ Market – the market features a wide variety of vendors including farmers, crafters, artists, bakers, cooks, and gardeners. The summer outdoor market is located at the West Pavilion in the park.


2022 Outdoor Summer Dates:

  • May 7-Oct 15 Saturdays: 9 am-1 pm
  • May 31-Aug 29 Tuesdays: 5-7 pm
